"As we understand, The Project Group has served as Project
Manager on the Kidshealth 2020 Project in Cleveland's Mount Pleasant
Neighborhood since 2002. In late 2005, URS was selected as Architect
of Record for this project. Over the last two years, URS has
worked closely with The Project Group and its staff, as the
Kidshealth project has developed from its early concepts into a
project that will profoundly benefit Cleveland's children.
The Kidshealth 2020 Project has faced many challenges and our
collective team (Architect, Owner and Project Manager) have worked
collaboratively to resolve. As the Project Manager, The Project
Group has responded to these challenges professionally and
responsibly. Our interaction with The Project Group has been
positive and we would welcome the opportunity to work with them
again."
"The Project Group as been instrumental in assisting our agency
in securing space for our staff and programs, working with our
architects and negotiating the legal and political issues related to
our needs.
I have worked with Mr. Zayac since July 2006, when I became the
Executive Director of Kidz Health 2020. I have found him to be
of tremendous support as our agency seeks to further define our
program and administrative site needs within the Mt. Pleasant
community. His passion for his owrk and the citizens of Cleveland
enable him to be of great assistance in the management of not for
profit site and building management."
"Since 2001,
The Project Group and its personnel, have served as consultants to
Cleveland City Council on the Cleveland Division of Water and
Division of Water Pollution Control Capital Improvements
Programs. On this engagement, The Project Group
has monitored project cost, schedule and EEO compliance, and
provided a variety of services in other areas.
In my
capacity as Chairman of the Cleveland City Council Public Utilities
Committee, I have worked directly with The Project Group, and they
have reported to me on Committee matters. In
addition to the assistance and reporting that they have provided
monitoring the Capital programs, they have also conducted research
and advised me and the Council on other major City issues including:
the 2006 water rate increases; agreements with suburban (master
meter) communities regarding water service and economic development
agreements; and, the City’s Sustainability
Program.
On all of these
assignments, The Project Group has executed in a timely, thorough
and professional manner. The Project Group,
serving as an extension to my Committee’s staff, has provided us
with expert and sound analysis, advice and reporting.
Because of the high level of quality of service that they
have provided, I highly recommend The Project Group and its
personnel."
"The Project Group
offers expertise and knowledge that few of us undertaking a large
scale construction project have. It is a comfortable feeling
knowing that our organization had solid advice about what we should
and shouldn't expect and how to evaluate costs. In our case,
we were able to assure the donors who made our project possible that
we didn't build too much or too little and that their resources were
used responsibly".
"As Council’s
consultants on the Cleveland Browns Stadium and the Cleveland
Hopkins International Airport Expansion, The Project Group has been
of great assistance to the City Council, in its process of
exercising legislative oversight. These, the
largest capital projects in the City’s history, have required more
than simple legislative approval – they have required a detailed
understanding and continued vigilance on the part of Council – in
order that they adhere to schedule, budget, quality and EEO
requirements, serving the best interests of the citizens of the City
of Cleveland. To this end, The Project Group has
ably and successfully served as an extension of the Council’s
authority and staff.”
"MWH Americas, Inc.
has served since 1997 as the Program Manager for the City of
Cleveland, Department of Public Utilities, $750M Plant Enhancement
Program (PEP). Beginning in 2001, The Project Group has served as
consultants to Cleveland City Council to monitor the PEP Program and
Utilities staff have met routinely with representatives of the
Project Group. We have always found the Project Group Staff to
act professionally and to work to understand the Program details in
a fair and objective manner.
"The Project Group
provides a valuable service to the Cleveland City Council. As
Council's consultants, they help to ensure that the City obtains
value, and that budget, schedule and EEO requirements are met on
large capital projects. The Project Group has also been of great
assistance to Council on the creation, monitoring and enforcement of
the Fannie M. Lewis City Residency Law - making certain that
Cleveland residents are employed on City-funded construction
projects."
"I just want to take this
opportunity to thank you for your assistance and expertise. I
greatly appreciate you and John; working with you has been tremendous.
Your willingness to provide some pro bono support after you identified
that we needed help immediately has made all the difference in the
world. I believe that at the conclusion of this process we will end up
with a beautiful facility that will work well for SOS into the future.
Again, thank
you for recognizing that we needed your know-how right away and your
willingness to provide it."
